You can never predict the direction in which Ayahuasca will lead you. This cannot be foreseen, no matter how many articles have been read or ceremonies have passed. That is why it is important not to have an idea of how everything should happen. Having tuned in on a certain effect you will get limited results. As a result, you do not notice what is happening around you and inside you. You simply see nothing. But it was and it was great.
“Why did they tell me then that I can ask Ayahuasca questions?” Of course you can. And she will answer immediately or a little later. But you must not trying to hear these answers only in our usual manner or focus to effect which you expected. The answers may be given in the most unusual form and in from those places where we do not pay attention.
Further, a person often releases his attention in free flight. As a result, it starts to gallop like a monkey from tree to tree. It is just galloping from one object to another, clinging each for not a long time.
When you realize this “wandering of attention”, on the physical level you will perceive this as a push - a return. It is like if you were not here and, suddenly, you returned. This way it happened in my retreat with Ayahuasca. Further, I began to notice that the same thing happens during the next day. Attention lives its own life. It is not disciplined.
Even ancient people tried to follow the rules “to be here and now”, “to be in action”, etc. And this is true. It is essential to support an active attention, but it must be flexible, nimble in order not to miss everything that is happening around.
