Ayahuasca diet and preparation

Ayahuasca Retreat Preparation

We advise to start preparing for Ayahuasca 14 days in advance, at least 10 days in advance. It is necessary to exclude from the menu the following products:

  • alcohol, drugs
  • meat, except chicken
  • legumes (including soy products, sauces)
  • dairy products
  • smoked and pickled products
  • citrus
  • coffee (at least reduce the dosage), chocolate
  • onion, garlic
  • to minimize or eliminate spices completely

Also, the preparation includes sexual abstinence. All your sexual energy will be needed for the possibility of a breakthrough in your Ayahuasca retreat.

During an Ayahuasca retreat, it is necessary:

1. Food diet

Food without salt, sugar, spices. Depending on the goals and duration of the retreat, the diet can be mild or strict.

A strict diet is a traditional shamanic diet, which includes only 2 products: boiled unsweetened banana and 1 type of non-fish river fish. This diet contains all the necessary nutrients and keeps the body in good condition even with a long retreat (six months or more).

Such a diet is used in healing and shamanism and helps to thoroughly rebuild the structure of the personality and energy body and go far beyond the familiar world. If your request is shamanism, dreaming or healing people, such a diet will be most effective for you. Another plus of a strict diet is the ability to quickly study and removing food habits.

A soft diet can be in different versions. Most often these are several types of boiled vegetables, cereals, fish, eggs. Sometimes fruits are added. Such a diet is always without salt, sugar, spices and sauces.

Dieting has several goals

  • become easier and open up to contact with the Spirit of Ayahuasca
  • help the body to be cleansed
  • the minimum amount of food helps to remove attention from food, which usually takes up a lot of space in our lives

2. Sexual diet

In order to act in the retreat in the right direction, you will need all the energy that you have. Therefore, sexual abstinence is necessary throughout the retreat.

3. Information diet.

Maximum exclude the Internet, movies, books, conversations, communication.

The information diet has two aspects. The first is to release attention from the usual things. If all your attention is occupied, it simply won’t be enough to realize something new. The second is security. During the retreat, ayahuasca opens your subconscious and helps to restructure it. This process continues not only during the reception of Ayahuasca, but also between receptions. Your subconscious mind becomes soft and plastic, and information from the outside can be imprinted deeply and become part of a pattern of behavior. For example, you will read an entertaining book or watch a movie, and the behavior model of some hero of the plot will be deposited in the subconscious. In the future, in some situations, you will unconsciously act in accordance with this model. Do you need it?

Ayahuasca unravels just such unconscious patterns, but if you add new ones, it will be running in a circle.

As for live communication, even with friends, relatives and the closest and most beloved people – it should be minimized, and it is better to remove it altogether. Ayahuasca guides you through new states and moods. Often the changes are so subtle that they are difficult to notice. Communicating with people, you easily pick up their moods and states that are more familiar to you than you can reduce the work of ayahuasca to nothing. It gently pushes you into something new, and then you return to the familiar, without having time to gain a foothold in the new state. The effectiveness of this approach is very low.

The work was amazing. Ayahuasca helped pull out the most stuck traumas that I didn’t even know about, remove the blocks that prevented me from walking through life with confidence and calm, being truly alive, being myself. I could not achieve such a result by working with a psychologist (I am not at all belittling their work now); in a retreat, the work occurs with great intensity and efficiency.
