Green Houses
Our retreat center features our own unique building architecture that blends harmoniously with the surrounding jungle.
The houses are designed to offer panoramic jungle views from all angles, allowing you to connect with nature and enhance your retreat experience. We use innovative design methods that have reduced the amount of wood used in our buildings by three times compared to standard homes in Peru, ensuring that we do not contribute to deforestation, which is a critical issue in the Amazonian region.
By using energy efficient design principles, including natural ventilation and passive cooling techniques, we eliminated energy consumption and minimized carbon footprint.
We use for construction only local, natural and environmentally friendly materials. The architecture is in harmony with the surrounding nature. It creates a calm and harmonious atmosphere for retreats.
Solar Power
We are proud to power our marketing office with solar panels on the roof, reducing our carbon footprint and promoting clean and renewable energy. By utilizing solar power, we minimize our environmental impact and contribute to the well-being of the planet, while spreading the word about our ayahuasca retreats.
“Useful Garbage” Concept
We have implemented a waste recycling system at our retreat center that turns organic waste into valuable compost. Over 100 medicinal and fruit trees now thrive on our property, thanks to the nutrient-rich compost-enriched soils.
We also utilize naturally fallen trees and wood waste for the production of firewood for cooking and herbal teas, and sawdust left over from wood processing is utilized to maintain paths, fill toilets, and enrich compost. We have even developed a concrete mix that incorporates sawdust, which you can see in our test track when you visit us.
Our innovative “useful garbage” concept helps us reduce waste and promote sustainability in the jungle.
Safe Waste Disposal
We are committed to responsible waste disposal practices in the jungle. Non-organic waste is safely burned in closed pits, which is the most responsible method of waste disposal available in our remote location. We are actively researching and exploring safer ways to dispose of plastic waste in the absence of electricity, to minimize any potential impact on the environment.
