Ayahuasca Tour in Peru: Frequently Asked Questions

Ayahuasca retreat in Peru

Will Ayahuasca help me?

Ayahuasca (ayawaska, yagé) is a mysterious vine that arouses great interest around the world because of its unusual properties. But it is not a magic potion, causing visions, changes, healings spontaneously.

In order to get a result while interacting with Plant Medicine, you should, first of all, express your intention to change. Then you take responsibility and let the changes take place. And also you discard all expectations and doubts.

Why do many providers offer tours to Ayahuasca ceremonies while you offer retreats? What’s the difference?

The main difference is the individual approach and duration. The Ayahuasca ceremony lasting several hours, after which the participants disperse and return to their usual life. The retreat is a long–term complex work, including not only work with Ayahuasca, but also a different way of life. Solitude and diet help to remove everyday activities that usually attract all attention completely and make room for changes. The jungle space helps to feel the flow of life more widely and achieve greater sensitivity to plants and the entire world. The retreat allows you to diet not only ayahuasca, but also other more demanding Teacher plants, the use of which is impossible at ceremonies. The plants in the retreat are selected individually and that allows you to achieve deep results.

How long does the retreat last usually?

Real changes take time. Therefore, we suggest to allocate at least 2 weeks, and 3 or 4 weeks would be good.

Why is it taking so long?

You have been accumulating and storing various attitudes, beliefs, situations with your body for years, which somehow left a trace in your body. It takes time to remove all these rubble safely for you and make room for something new. Everything is individual, but sometimes just the first two weeks are required for cleansing. The main work begins after that.

Why should a retreat be private?

You should take care in advance that your affairs and relatives do not distract you during the retreat. After all, where attention is, there is energy. When attention is focused on loved ones, affairs, then progress in working with plants slows down. There is not enough energy to realize what is happening, as it is sprayed on familiar things. In the jungle, ideal conditions have been created to achieve your goals, you just need to start acting differently.

What is required of me?

One should follow the plants of Power with trust and respect. It sounds simple, but in fact at this stage we meet with an obstacle. This is our own mind, but it is not an assistant here. It is impossible to explain anything here with the help of the mind. Therefore, we push it aside and move on.

What does it look like?

Every day is like a little battle. When you are afraid, doubt or resist, and then it turns out to drop all fears, doubts, expectations and win your victory. Day by day, step by step. The plants of power will lead you, just hold on tight to their hand.

What are the consequences of the Ayahuasca tour?

The consequences will be revealed for a long time after the retreat. They can be completely different for each person. Someone will find new powerful resources, someone will see new ways and start moving in a new direction, someone will continue the work started in the jungle, clean up energy leaks and so on.

The work was amazing. Ayahuasca helped pull out the most stuck traumas that I didn’t even know about, remove the blocks that prevented me from walking through life with confidence and calm, being truly alive, being myself. I could not achieve such a result by working with a psychologist (I am not at all belittling their work now); in a retreat, the work occurs with great intensity and efficiency.
